Future of Endangered Species of India

How many of us know even half of the Endangered animlas of India. Probably none can answer this, have u ever thought why?. In our struggle for existence in this Great country we are more concerned abt the HomoSpaiens than the animals. we see them as a help tool rather than as a living being that have the same rights as you to live on this planet. Most of us are so involved with their struggles, politics, problems and survival we don't give a Damn! abt these animals. When ever i ask this question to my friends, the reply i got is "here surviving of a man is difficult u r talking of an animal". Don't the break of the eco-logical cycle concern us. Have we become so insensitive that we are not at all concerned abt those animals that have survived on this planet from thousands of years, but started to extinct once the human started to grow.History says that as the human became more aware of his surrondings he started to spread to other areas, where ever he went being a dominant species he began dilodge the animals of that area from their habitant. Scientists say that 50% of the Extinct species that had extincted in the last 100 years. In our country there so many wonderful creatures that on the track of extinct, do we care abt them, we don't care, the animals doen't matter for the policy makers, the Red tape. So, who the hell is going to talk abt them and raise the issues.Only NGO's can not do this, the media should take responsibility in spreading the message, the highlighting of the poaching in Ratahambore by the media made the PM to take up the issue. Like wise there r so many more. our politicians and Ministers are so corrupt they are busy with filling their pockets and with their political games, that they don't have the time for all these. For the it doesn't matter whether these animals leave or become extinct.I will cite the recent example of the Dissaperance of the Vultures, the natures best know scanvengers. 99% of the indian vulters have died since 1990. A mind blowing figure of 3 million vultures died. the reason is the use of a Drug called "Diclofenac" for the animals, this was taken by some evironmentalist and scientists. the PM assured the ban of the particular drug 2 years back till now no action was taken. As the vultures are dying the road side carcasses are increasing, resulting in diseases. this is direct result of the break in the ecological cycle.Should i have to say more to tell how much we need the animals around us. the case is same with the olive ridley turtles, yearly thousands of them die along the soact as well as in Rushikulya river in Orissa. Inspite of the highlight of the matter by the media and NGO's our law makers are not moved, they can't make the fishermen carry a turtle excluding device in their nets. most of the law makers lack the will, they are more concerned with votes of those fishermen who will get annoyed if a law of compulsary usage of "turtle excluder" is made.
Due to pressure from media the Govt and mostly the NGO's are doing some good things with respect to these animals. We should take cue from the famous khazianga's Project Rhino, where the single horn rhino was brought back from "going to be extinct" species. We should not let these species go extinct, this will harm us a lot.We need these animlas more than what these animals need us.
